Special Awards for Unaffiliated Shows

Claire Baker

Rosettes are being given to unaffiliated shows that have classes which include Palominos / Cremellos / Cream Dilutes etc. BPS 'Special Award' rosettes will be given to Highest Placed Registered Palominos. New BPS 'Cremello Special' rosettes will be given to Cremello class winners or the highest placed cremello in mixed classes.

We hope this will help encourage extra entries for these shows and potentially lead to BPS Affiliation in future years. If you know of a suitable show, please do email the details to us!

A place in the BPS for any animal with the 'cream' gene

During the current 3 year trial period, which began in 2014, palominos no longer need to be inspected for registration.

The current CREMELLO REGISTER has been officially expanded to include all double dilutes - cremello, perlino and smokey cream.

A new BPS CREAM DILUTE Register, (previously called the Variant Register), has been started for buckskin (may also be known as dun), smokey black, 'dilute' coloureds and any palomino not eligible for the main register.
