THE DOUBLE DILUTE REGISTER

Due to the demise of the Cremello Society, the British Palomino Society has created a 'Cremello' Register.
This register has now been officially expanded to include all double dilutes - Cremello, Perlino & Smokey Cream.

THE CREAM DILUTE REGISTER

To enable the Society to offer a 'home' to any animal with the cream gene, we have created the BPS Cream Dilute Register,
(previously known as the Variant Register). This register is open to those animals which do not 'fit' into the other registers.
This includes buckskin, smokey black, 'dilute' coloureds, any palomino not eligible for the main register. Please note that Buckskins are often mistakenly identified as Dun. The BPS does not accept True Duns for registration as they do not carry a Cream Dilution gene.

If owners wish to be certain of the genes carried by their animals, Animal Genetics UK offer testing for the Cream gene and many others.

We are trying to encourage more shows to hold classes for Cream Dilutes, please do support any classes you can. Hopefully we will quickly increase the popularity of these lovely animals.

The BPS Annual National Championships holds classes for both registers. Please come along and join in!
