Aﬃliated shows/classes are for Palominos registered with the British Palomino Society and owned by a current member of the Society. Handlers/Riders may be asked to produce a current membership badge when in the ring. Show canes only, max. 30” (76cm). No schooling /dressage whips allowed. This applies to In-Hand and Ridden classes. From 2018 plaiting is permitted in In-Hand classes - this is optional. Hogging is also permitted if suitable for the type of animal - please note hogged horses will not be eligible for the new colour award.
For ridden classes, plaiting is optional. Hogging is also permitted in ridden classes if it is suitable for the type of animal. Prizes won qualify for the Society’s Points Championship Schemes.
Colour awards in In-hand classes. As of 2018 all affiliated inhand classes are judged on Conformation, Movement and Correctness to type. Colour will be judged and awarded separately. In each affiliated inhand class there will be gold,silver and bronze placings judged solely on colour quality. The winners of colour awards qualify for the Golden Trail Colour championship held during the evening performance at the Nationals.
